Blog #4: Language Barrier at the Border

In an article written by Emily Reed, a recent college graduate, she writes about her experience at border volunteering to help asylum seekers. She cracks down at the fact that many asylum seekers are forced to sign away their right. This is due to the fact that many are illiterate and most don't speak english. besides that, documents are handed to them in English. To me that is crazy, and it sounds more of a trap. There should be in my opinion more help for these immigrants so they can be able to comprehend what they are signing. The fact that immigration officials are basically pressuring them to sign their rights away isn't in any way moral.
